Dirty Diana – Vol. 01

In January of 2023, I decided to take part in the Frugal Film Project (@frugalfilmproject). The concept of the Frugal Film Project is quite simple — find a cheap camera for under $70, shoot the cheapest film you can find (hard to do these days), and shoot that same film, one roll per month for the entire year. I have a ton of cameras that meet this criteria, but wanted to try something new and decided to try out the Diana Mini. With a bit of persistence and luck, I found this pink, limited edition Leopard Diana Mini on eBay for $50 — the camera I wanted, but with a little more flare than the standard black and blue models. I paired it with 12 rolls of Kentmere 400 and so it began. I also threw in one roll of Lomo Color 400 to see how it would handle color. Vol. 1 features images I captured during 2023 on the Diana Mini.
